AlakaTerms of Use
These terms are the end-user licence agreement (EULA) between MOZ GROUP TEKNOLOJİ BİLİŞİM SANAYİ VE DIŞ TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("we"; address and MERSİS number in the Privacy Policy) and you, the user of the Alaka word game ("the game"). By downloading or playing the game you accept them. When you first use the community features you are asked to accept these terms and the Community Guidelines again. How your data is processed is explained in the Privacy Policy.
1. Licence
We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to play the game for personal, non-commercial purposes on an Apple or Android device you own or control. The game is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer (except where the law allows), rent or sell the game, or scrape its content (dictionary, bonds, questions) for another product.
2. Account
- A guest account is created for you on first launch. You can link it to Apple, Google or an e-mail code to use it on another device. If you delete the app or change devices without linking, you may lose access to the account.
- An account is for one person. You may not sell, transfer or share it. Creating several accounts to win leagues or rewards is forbidden.
- Usernames are unique and filtered. We change usernames containing profanity, insults, hate speech, sexual content, advertising or someone else's name or contact details, and may restrict the account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Settings > Delete account. This cannot be undone; remaining coins, hints and purchased items are deleted and not refunded.
3. Game, matches and fair play
- In ranked matches your opponent is a real player. In Classic mode you have 48 hours per move; if time runs out your move counts as a pass, and two expiries in a row count as resigning. Practice (Nermin Teyze) is against an AI opponent and gives no rewards or league points.
- Our server has the final say on moves, scores, bonds, rewards and your wallet. We may correct points or rewards granted by mistake.
- Forbidden: cheating software, automated playing tools, exploiting bugs, arranging scores or matches with other accounts, deliberately throwing matches, overloading the game server.
- Word, bond and question content changes over time. Whether a word is valid or two words are bonded is decided by the game's rules and community decisions; such decisions do not change past match results.
- We update the game from time to time; modes, rewards, prices and features may change. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
4. Community and user content: zero tolerance
In the Discussion Pool you can propose bonds, explain them and comment; you can suggest questions, arena terms and meanings and report errors ("user content").
- We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Profanity, insults, hate speech, discrimination, threats, harassment, sexual content, glorifying violence, political or religious propaganda, other people's personal data, advertising, spam, copyright infringement and illegal content are forbidden. - Every post passes a profanity filter. You can report any proposal or comment and block any player. Content with a certain number of reports is hidden automatically and reviewed by our moderators. We review reported content within 24 hours and remove it if it breaks the rules.
- We may remove content that breaks the rules without notice and may warn, temporarily or permanently restrict from community features, remove from leagues and rewards, or ban the account. Serious violations (threats, hate speech, harm to children) lead to immediate closure and, where necessary, a report to the authorities.
- You are responsible for your user content and confirm that you own it or have the right to share it.
- You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, non-exclusive licence to display, edit and translate your content in the game and to include accepted contributions (bonds, questions, terms, meanings) in the game's content. Accepted contributions may stay in the game without your name after you delete your account.
- Gifts for accepted contributions (coins, hints, Contribution Points) are not payment and create no employment relationship.
- There is no free chat and no private messaging; matches only have preset reactions.
5. Virtual items
- Coins, hints, frames, badges, titles and other in-game items ("virtual items") are a licence usable only inside the game. They are not money and have no real-world value; they cannot be exchanged for money or anything else, sold or transferred to another account.
- Virtual items are kept with your account on our server. We may change prices and rewards to keep the game balanced; we do not take back an item you bought (except in cases of cheating, error or a refunded payment).
6. Purchases
- In-app purchases go through the App Store or Google Play and follow that store's rules. Prices, including taxes, are shown on the store sheet before you buy.
- A purchase is complete when you confirm it and digital content is delivered immediately. Under Turkish distance-contract rules (art. 15) there is no right of withdrawal for services performed and intangible goods delivered instantly. Refund requests are handled under Apple's and Google's rules (Support). Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
- Remove Ads and Alaka Club can be restored with Restore purchases using the same store account.
7. Alaka Club subscription
- What it gives: Alaka Club is a monthly auto-renewing subscription. While it is active you see no interstitial, app-open or banner ads (rewarded-ad options grant their reward without a video), you get 3 hints every day and a club frame on your profile. The daily hints are added when you open the game that day.
- Length and price: 1-month periods. 79.99 TRY per month in Türkiye, 4.99 USD per month in the USA; elsewhere the store's local price applies. The current price is shown on the Club card in the game and on the store sheet before you buy. There is no free trial.
- Payment and renewal: payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage and cancel: on iPhone in Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. No partial refunds for unused time (the stores' refund rules apply).
- Price changes: if we change the price, the store informs you in advance and asks for your consent where required.
8. Ads
The game contains ads: rewarded videos you choose to watch, end-of-match interstitials, an app-open ad and a banner. No ads are shown during a match. A rewarded ad's reward is granted when the video is watched to the end. We are not responsible for advertisers' products. Data processing: Privacy Policy.
9. Leagues, events and rewards
- Weekly leagues, the Daily Move, events and invite rewards are rewarded with in-game items (coins, hints, frames, badges). Reward tables are shown in the game and may change.
- Taking part in leagues and rewards is free and never depends on a purchase.
- If a non-game (physical) prize is announced for a season, it can be won only in seasons for which separately published official rules are in force and under the conditions of those rules: League Official Rules. Apple and Google are not sponsors of such prizes and are not responsible for them in any way.
- Rankings and rewards of players found cheating or breaking the rules may be cancelled.
10. Intellectual property
The game's name, logo, the Nermin Teyze character, board and arena designs, word bonds, info notes, questions, code and all other content belong to us or our licensors. Definitions from openly licensed sources are used under their licences with attribution.
11. Liability
We provide the game "as is". Word meanings and info notes are for entertainment; we do not guarantee their accuracy and ask you to report mistakes. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or loss of data or virtual items. This does not apply to intent, gross negligence or liability that cannot be limited by law, and does not affect your consumer rights.
12. If you downloaded from the App Store
- These terms are between you and us only; Apple Inc. ("Apple") is not a party. We, not Apple, are responsible for the game and its content.
- The licence may be used on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
- We are responsible for maintenance and support; Apple has no obligation to provide them.
- If the game fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the price paid (if any). To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the game.
- We, not Apple, handle any claims relating to the game, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual-property infringement.
- You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US embargo and are not on any US list of prohibited parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes and termination
We may change these terms; the current version is on this page and in the game, and we announce important changes in the game. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms. Your licence and account may end if you seriously breach these terms. You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account and the game; cancel a running subscription separately in your store.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers may apply to consumer arbitration committees or consumer courts. Please write to us first.
